Chinese Culture & Heritage is a 2-credit course that aims to introduce cultural heritage and its management in China. Characteristics of different types of cultural heritage are exemplified by representative cases across China. Key issues relating to cultural heritage management in China such as interpretation, presentation, authenticity, integrity, community participation and sustainable development are analysed by referring to international charters and conventions and good practices of China and western countries.
